Best Slow Cooker Lasagna
This lasagna recipe for the slow cooker has all the flavors of a regular lasagna with very little work. With its layers of cheese, meat sauce, and lasagna noodles, it's a hearty meal that's great for busy days.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 1 14
- 5 oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is translucent
Drain excess fat
Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper
Remove from heat
In a bowl, mix together mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheese
Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce mixture in the bottom of a slow cooker
Arrange 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, breaking noodles as needed to fit
Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over the noodles
Repeat layers of sauce, noodles, and cheese two more times, ending with a layer of sauce on top
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until noodles are tender
Sprinkle chopped parsley over the lasagna before serving
