Extraordinary Chocolate Tart 1
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 200g unsalted butter
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup cake flour
- Pinch of salt
- Cocoa powder, for dusting optional
Instructions:
Set the oven to 180C 350F and heat it up
Set aside a 23cm 9-inch tart tin and butter it
If you want to use cocoa powder, lightly dust it with it
Put the bowl over a pot of simmering water and melt the chocolate and butter together
Stir the mixture until it is smooth
Take it off the heat and mix in the sugar with a whisk
Whisk in the beaten eggs one at a time until everything is well mixed
Sieve in the flour and salt, and then fold it in slowly until it's just combined
Place the dough into the tart pan that has been prepared
Use a spatula to even out the top of the dough
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the middle is still a little wobbly
Take it out of the oven and let it cool in the pan for a full minute before taking it out
If you want, you can sprinkle cocoa powder on top once it's cool before serving
